The Department of Auxiliary Studies of History (ELTE) is pleased to invite all intrested to its "Auxiliary studies, archives, didactics for history teaching - Lectures at the Deprtment of Auxiliary Studies of History" series of lectures.

On the third occasion of the series the audience has the opportunity to attend the lecture of Georg Scheibelreiter, retired professor at the University of Vienna and vice-president of the International Academy of Heraldry. Georg Scheibelreiter is one of the most prominent representatives of Austrian and European medieval history, currently a member of the scientific committee of the Adler (Heraldisch-Genealogische Gesellschaft ADLER) and previously for many years a member of the editorial board of the Mitteilungen des Instituts für Österreichische Geschichtsforschung (MIÖG). His research interests include the history of the Early Middle Ages, the history of mentality and culture, and, among the auxiliary historical sciences, heraldry, sphragistics and genealogy.

The title of his lecture will be: Vienna as a Centre of the Auxiliary Sciences of History
